Hive Audio is a perfectly club ready label that always serves up the goods. Here they do so again with a new EP from a producer who has been on hiatus but returned with a bang. His three track Brooklyn Shit EP features three compelling original house cuts that really get under your skin.
The man behind them is Dario D’Attis, a Swiss producer who also works as The Funk Ensemble and releases on labels like Purple Tracks and MAP Dance and has done for more than a decade now. His first cut here is a deep and groovy house number with slick vocals, warm pads and great keys. Next up, Do It Right is a more meaty, physical track with heavy kicks and rich bass that sinks down below. This is a pure vibe that will get clubs going. Lastly Rhythms of Benin is an organic, poly rhythmic affair with hiccuping melodies and more organic beats all making for a fine bit of modern club music. With three very different but equally excellent tracks all on offer here, Dario really shows is is in the form of his life.
