Leon Vynehall needs little introduction. The man from the UK produced some of the biggest tracks of last year (see ‘It’s Just (House Of Dupree)’ or ‘Butterflies’) and his appearance on Gerd Janson’s ‘Musik for Autobahns 2’ is a welcome return.
‘Musik for Autobahns’ is curated with one thing in mind – providing ambient accompaniment to make long car journeys bearable – and Vynehall’s interpretation certainly delivers. Starting slowly with the noise of cars whooshing by, the sounds are slowly enveloped by warm, soothing synths and a smooth melody. The track is delivered with the trademark effortlessness and aplomb that we now expect from Mr. Vynehall. We could drive for days if this song was the soundtrack.
The entire compilation drops on the Rush Hour imprint in September and features additional cuts from Joy Orbison, Bicep, Disco Nihilist and more.
